I know not what to say....The question of the need to blog

Fellow creatives, do you feel it?  You know, that pressure that comes from so many marketing gurus who tell us we must blog.  And blog OFTEN!  Do you find yourself with fingers poised over the keyboard, eyes on the screen, hoping that the words will flow and, then, they don't?  Surely I am not the only one who struggles to find the right words to with which to share my creative discoveries, my techniques, my stories of my artists' life, am I?

Well, if you are like me in this respect, I have found the SOLUTION! And that is to...

FORGET ABOUT IT! (said with the soothing lilt of one of the Soprano brothers.)

Go instead to your studio/workshop/where ever it is you do what you do best, and CREATE!  Whatever you accomplish here will speak louder that ten thousand words could ever speak. (My apologies to all you writers who may read this, but you do know what I mean.)  If you are compelled to post something online, then post a picture of what you then accomplished or do write a blog.  BUT! I say again BUT! Blog only if you are compelled to and want to!

Remember, the word 'blog' is a very recent addition to language. I often wonder if it is not just a current trend, or dare I say, fad? Actually, I don't think that it will disappear totally, but it's supposed importance will certainly fade as the market becomes saturated and the worldwide audience becomes more and more selective.

So, DO WHAT YOU DO BEST, not what you might feel pressured into 'having' to do. Blogging, I suppose, has it's place. But, it's not taking up full time residence in my place anymore.  It can visit occasionally, but I'm taking away it's bedroom.
